Merry Christmas from the Schroeders

We wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
Love,
Mark, Judy, James and Andrew

James lost 3 teeth!

James and Andrew were playing a little roughly this morning, which resulted in James losing 3 bottom teeth! Once he got over the initial shock of being kicked in the mouth and blood etc., he was happy to be rid of those very loose teeth ... and excited about a visit from the tooth fairy tonight. Although it was an accident, Andrew apologized and they've patched things up. Now James will have an interesting story to tell of how his little brother kicked out his 3 bottom teeth:)

Happy Birthday Jesus Party

Our Wednesday night bible study group, Foundations hosted a "Birthday Party for Jesus" at our church. We invited some families who currently don't have homes and are staying at our church for the week. Their kids mixed together beautifully with ours, and a joyful time was had by all. Here we are pictured singing Christmas carols and having birthday cupcakes.

Christmas Cantata

The boys sat through an hour long performance at church. We were very proud ... even if Andrew was asleep for most of it. This is a break through for our family!

St. Mark's Christmas Pageant

Andrew sang on stage with his class at a school Christmas pageant. They sang a well-known West Indies song: "A long time ago in Bethlehem the holy bible say ... Mary's boy child Jesus Christ was born on Chris-a-mas day". It was very cute! Andrew is also pictured with his two teachers, Ms. Vicki and Ms. Susan.

Christmas Pageant

James and Andrew were both shepherds in our church's annual Christmas pageant. James had two speaking lines, and they both did a great job on stage!

Gingerbread House

To kick off a month long of Christmas festivities, here we are at church decorating a gingerbread house. Surprisingly almost all of the candy actually made it on the house this time!

Thanksgiving

Here we are enjoying a delicious Thanksgiving meal with Grandma and Grandad!

Camping with the Scouts

We went on our first Cub Scouts camping trip to Pedernales Falls on a weekend in early November. The nights were quite nippy -- close to freezing actually, but the days were sunny and beautiful. Their were all kinds of fun planned activities, and plenty of free time for playing in the beautiful woods and sitting around the campfire at night.

Halloween

These photos say it all. James was GI Joe, and Andrew was a scary alien. The Star Wars Clone trooper is their good buddy from across the street, Campbell.

School parties

James and Andrew both had fun halloween and fall-themed class parties.

Sweet Berry Farm

We love going to this place before Halloween. This time we went on a Cub Scouts outing. We were glad to see friend Jeremy and Christopher Bridges there as they were a big help on the Texas Corn Maze. It took us over 1 hour to finish -- whew! Then we went on a relaxing hay wagon ride through the woods, and after that we picked flowers. What a fun day in Marble Falls!

Halloween Party

James and Ben Pont invited us to a fun Halloween party at their house.

Allie and Papa's Visit

We did lots of fun things while Allie and Papa were visiting. We went to Wimberley for some shopping, to the Driftwood Winery for some local wine and a great view and to the Wildflower Center which is right in our new neighborhood!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

We celebrated Daddy's birthday while Allie and Papa were visiting.

Entrepreneur Andrew

Andrew came up with this idea to sell a few of his unwanted toys and things. After going door to door and selling a few items, he set up this stand in front of our house.

Cub Scout James

Here is James posing for the first time in his brand new cub scouts uniform.

Foundations Retreat 2

As you can see, a great time was had by all at the Crier Creek retreat center. We're already looking forward to next year's retreat!
